Online Advertisement Server

This is an application that has web-based User Interface written in Java , Javascipt on JBoss Server then, partly converted to React and NodeJS. It controls multiple display screens connected over Internet for displaying videos, typically the Digital Advertisements, at scheduled times. These screens could be placed at any public places like Railway stations, Bus Stands, Malls or certain road-junctions inside the cities. This has facilities to configure extensive customer details and then allows their representatives to upload the videos, book slots for each of them, view reports of actual display etc. Slots configuration has very extensive functionality of day/date-wise, weekly, monthly, holidays etc. Display configuration can also be very extensively done under various definable categories. A small microprocessor based device is used near a set of screens which would download all the videos from the server to be displayed on all the screens connected to it for the pre-configured duration. Once the configuration is complete, the whole system runs in auto mode.

Y2K solution and Euro conversion

LEX-YACC and ANSI-C based multi-O/S application toolset that worked seemlessly on various Unix flavours / Multiple Microsoft Windows platforms and also on OpenVMS (In house product) This is a very comprehensive and fully integrated set of tools viz. SHODH, SAMEEKSHA, SANSKAAR for Y2K impact detection, analysis and conversion for compliance of the application systems written in a variety of COBOL dialects, extendible to many other programming languages and environments. The toolset also contained Y2K Data Converter. The input to this is the SELECT / FD clauses of COBOL, the COBOL record layout and list of date fields. Using this information an ANSI-COBOL source program is generated which, when compiled and executed on the appropriate computer, would convert the data file, adding century to the date variables. This was then enhanced to handle Euro related issues. All this code and experienced programmers are still part of SII.
