Email Reader Interface for Ship Tracking

This application is developed for Satellite Communication Department of Tata Communications, Pune. It connects to POP3 server (with or without SSL), at an interval set during the configuration, and reads e-mails. These e-mails contain data related to the vessel (ship) posion in the sea. This application parses the e-mail data and stores the required information in the database. This application maintains the history of fetched emails so that when it connects to POP3 again, it will fetch only the new e-mails.

Radar antenna movement control system

This software was originally available on Windows (without sources) using Galil library. Our customer wanted to remove dependency of this library and port it to Linux based software. This is achieved on Linux by communicating with Galil drives over TCP/IP protocol. This controls vertical and horizontal movement of Radar Antenna for very accurate positioning.

Trajectory Editor

This editor will facilitate defining interactively the trajectories on the shop floor that the AGV has to follow for transferring materials from loading points to delivery points. The editor will run under AutoCad with a background layer describing the static items on the shop-floor – boundaries of various machining units, conveyors, reflectors etc. Areas not accessible to the AGV will also be marked out suitably in the background. What remains is the navigable area, and all trajectories have to be defined within this area. This application is developed for BARC, trombay, Mumbai. This is very user friendly tool to draw a trajectory for Automatic Guided Vehicle on a shop floor drawing in Autocad. This application requires Autocad drawing file as an input. User can draw nodes, segments, splines and different objects as per the requirement on the floor.
